Some couples go together like fire and ice, and that's certainly the case with the magic-wielding romantic leads in a pair of character preview videos published for Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World (known in Japan as Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjou, Arui wa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen or "KimiSen" for short), an upcoming TV anime based on the series of fantasy light novels written by Kei Sazane and illustrated by Ao Nekonabe about two rival adventurers falling in love when they kingdoms go to war.
The original Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World light novels are published in Japan by Fujimi Shobo under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint, and an English language version is available from Yen Press, who describe the story of the series as follows:
A great war has raged for years between the scientifically advanced Empire and Nebulis, the realm of the witches-until the youngest knight ever to receive the title of the Empire's strongest meets the princess of the rival nation. Though they are sworn enemies, the knight is taken by her beauty and dignity, and the princess is moved by his strength and way of life. Will the fighting between them ever be allowed to end?
Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World is directed by Shin ÅŒnuma and Mirai Minato and features animation production by SILVER LINK.. The series will begin broadcasting in Japan on AT-X, Asahi Broadcasting Corporation, and TOKYO MX on October 07, 2020, with additional broadcasts to follow later on TV Aichi and BS11. Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World will also be simulcast in the United States by Funimation.
